Liberation of Hindu temples from govt control, tyranny

By: V Sundaram

Ahistoric All India Conference of Hindu Acharyas convened by Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha was held in the second week of February 2008 in State of Karnataka.

I view this Conference as a landmark event in the history of the heroic struggle of the battered and shattered Hindus of India who have been constitutionally fighting for their fundamental rights against the Islam-embracing, Christianity-coveting and Hindu-hating Government in India at all levels after our independence on 15th August 1947. Freedom with effect from that date has meant total freedom only for the Muslims and Christians of India and enslavement (in all religious and other vital secular matters) for the majority Hindus of India. Keeping this general background of State enforced slavery of the Hindus of India in view, the Acharya Sabha deliberated on a variety of topics of concern and interest to Hindus world-wide and in India in particular.

A landmark statement was issued by Acharya Sabha after due deliberations. I am presenting below the most important excerpts from this Statement:

‘There is an increasing awareness among the Acharya leadership, of the seriousness of Hindu concerns and causes which are not addressed or insufficiently addressed by authorities and within Indian Society; some of the Acharyas have taken the initiative to project the grievances of Hinduism and Hindus in specific cases; many have lent their hand and support to collective action to highlight Hindu sensitivities and grievances. Awareness of unjust treatment of Hindus in the country under the flawed concept of secularism, has increased considerably overseas; such awareness is providing support to Hindu awareness among the masses in India. The State Government of Tamil Nadu has in callous disregard of Hindu sentiments pursued the ill-considered Sethusamudram project despite repeated representations from numerous experts and members of the public and also from the Acharya Sabha. The Government of India has also not been sensitive to the sacred resonance of ‘Rama Setu’ in the hearts of millions of Hindus all over the world, in persisting with the dredging of the narrow sea between Sri Lanka and India along an alignment that will damage the ‘Rama Setu’ irretrievably. The Acharya Sabha therefore fully supports the country-wide agitation in the matter, appreciates the scholarly documentation that was put together and the legal action mounted.’

‘Several Hindu organizations in the country are becoming active and proactive in the field to counter adverse propaganda against Hindu society and Dharma, to oppose conversion and violence and to highlight Hindu sensitivities. More and more subtle attempts are underway outside the country to ‘appropriate’ Hindu philosophy and practices (such as Yoga, meditation, Sanskrit language and even sacred scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita), detaching them from their Hindu identity.’

‘Global warming resulting in the rapid receding of glaciers that feed the great Indian rivers, is a major threat to the world and particularly to India; sustained efforts are needed by several authorities to stem this adverse tide; the Hindu religious leadership must explain to the devotee masses how Hindu heritage strongly opposes reckless consumption and supports conservation of and respect to all forms of life.’

‘Many ancient Mathas and temples in the country are in need of rejuvenation; these institutions have a major role in sustaining, teaching and strengthening Hindu Dharma. Mathatipatis must nominate their successors before it becomes too late to do so; otherwise another pretext would become available for Government to interfere in these Hindu institutions.’

‘The Acharya Sabha re-pledges itself, in the aforementioned context to speak in a single united voice, act in a concerted manner to implement specific action plans drawn up from time to time, to strengthen Hindu Dharma and Society, and counter the problems and threats they face. In this context, a lot more needs to be done by individual Acharyas in their tours, Pravachans and among their vast devotee populations for raising Hindu self esteem; for resisting and preventing conversion by protagonists of other religions like Christianity and Islam; for refusing to be cowed down by threats of violence from any quarter and above all for taking recourse to legal action in specific cases aimed at protecting Hindu interests at large.’

Against the above general background, the Acharya Sabha took note the following aspects/issues of the problem being faced by the Hindus.

1) Temple Governance Matters.

The Acharya Sabha took note of the fact that

  • in Andhra Pradesh, a High Court Stay was in force on acquisition of temple lands for any purpose till writ petitions filed in that regard are finally disposed off;
  • In Andhra Pradesh, certain amendments have been made to the Endowment Act, the primary purpose of which is to reduce the work load on the government department and to release very small temples with little or no income into the hands of individual Archakas for implementing daily Pujas with the help of govt. subvention/devotee offerings;
  • in Karnataka, a High Powered Committee has submitted recommendations for a new Endowment Law after the High Court struck down the earlier ones on certain grounds not necessarily recognizing Hindu concerns in matters of temple governance;
  • in Kerala, in a Writ filed with the help of the Acharya Sabha Trust, the High Court conceded a peripheral point regarding oath-administration, but did not favour any basic concern of Hindu Society as a whole in temple matters;
  • in Madhya Pradesh a new Law is under consideration in respect of temples but it seeks to retains all control in a series of Government nominated bodies and in the hands of the government itself;
  • in Himachal Pradesh and in Uttarakhand new governments have taken over;
  • the alarming tendency in Governments, both Central and the State, to treat temples and places of sacred importance to Hindus as tourist attraction particularly for foreign tourism which detracts from their sacred value to Hindus;
  • there have been many terrorist attacks on Hindu places of worship in the country, and the perpetrators have not been brought to book; and
  • the need for local Hindu communities to gather experience in governing temples of different sizes and popularity among temple-worshipping devotees; and thereby for establishing the credibility of the claim that they are capable of managing their places of worship, efficiently, transparently and in an accountable manner.
  • Keeping these factors in view the Acharya Sabha resolved as follows:
  • That active recourse must be taken to concerted legal action and for this purpose legal cells may be identified and created in different States and at Delhi;
  • That Legal Action Fund may be created in the Acharya Sabha Trust to which individual Acharyas may contribute liberally;
  • That rapport may be established with the new governments in Himachal Pradesh and in Uttarakhand to explore the possibility of some salutary changes in the manner of temple governance;
  • That correspondence may be initiated with the Chief Ministers and the Tourism Minister of Govt. of India on the need to safeguard the sanctity of temples and other places of sacred importance to Hindus; this may be followed up with visits on behalf of the Acharya Sabha, to the ministers;
  • That representations may be addressed to appropriate authorities deploring increasing terrorist threats to and attacks on Hindu places of worship and demanding strong preventive and punitive action;
  • That Temple Committees comprising local temple-worshipping communities should be set up as a part and parcel of Dharma Rakshana Samitis (decided at the last Conference at Mumbai) as a measure of education in transparent and accountable management, harmonious local participation in such management and demonstrable credibility for self-management of places of Hindu worship. Individual Acharyas are exhorted to undertake this exercise within their Sampradayas and area of Matha/Peetha influence.
  • 2. Hindu ScriptureAcharya Sabha noted that
  • unlike in other religious persuasions it is not possible to straitjacket a Hindu and Hinduism exclusively in any set of practices, rituals or taboos;
  • Hinduism should not be viewed only through the prism of what is construed as 'religion’ by non-Hindus;
  • various differing Sampradayas of ancient lineage with diverse interpretations and understandings of ancient scriptural teachings such as Vedas with all the Upanishads, Bhagawad Gita etc constitute Sanaatana Dharma( Hinduism) and are all integral to Hinduism;
  • not-withstanding the foregoing it is necessary to compile a set of simple guiding principles with which modern youth, Ghar Vapasi families, and those outside Hindu Dharma, can obtain a basic understanding of Hinduism; and
  • Bhagawad Gita contains a comprehensive code of Dharma, which could be followed by all human beings for a morally upright, happy and productive life.
  • Taking note of the above facts Acharya Sabha has unanimously resolved that
  • a compilation may be prepared as a practical guide to distinguish a Hindu and Hinduism, with the understanding that it should be taken only as a starting point for a deeper study by a serious seeker, of several authentic interpretations and of the chosen Sampradaya; and
  • the idea that Bhagawad Gita merits acceptance as the National Book of India, is worthy of promotion.

Keeping in view all the aspects of Temple Control, Temple Regulation and Temple Governance and the paramount Hindu public need to permanently free the Hindu temples from the stranglehold of Government, Dr Subramanian Swamy has issued this clarion call: ‘The Union Government must enter into an urgent consultation with the apex Hindu body of sadhus, namely the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha (HDAS) convened by Swami Dayananda Sarasvati, to substantially amend the Hindu Religious Endowments and Charitable Trust Act (1951) to bring it in conformity with Article 25 and 26 of the Constitution. At present the Act provides for total and suffocating control of Hindu temples in the country by the Government at the Centre and States, while exempting Mosques and Churches completely even from Government oversight supervision. This is highly discriminatory against the Hindus who are 83 per cent of India’s population, and thus violates Article 14, 25 and 26 of the Constitution.’

Interview of a Christian Evangelist in India

- Bandyopadhyay Arindam ( ivarta blogs)

10/2/2007

The world today could have been a much better place for all of us, had we all refrained from trying to prove the superiority of our own religion………..

This is a model interview of “Father Johnson’ after his award by the Government of India for his exemplary work in India in enlightening the people in the path of the ONLY God. Father Johnson returned to the USA after 10 years of service, to uplift the people of India in the name of God. The interview was taken in July 2005 by a journalist in Houston, USA……

Welcome home Father. You have been in India for 10 years, where “our mission’ is still going on. Tell me Father, how is India?

India is a fascinating country, a land of contrasts. Modern India is the largest democracy, the budding economic superpower, with the second-largest pool of scientists and engineers in the world. India is also the only surviving ancient civilization with over one sixth of the world population. At one time, not so long ago, when Europe was in the “dark ages’ and America was not even “discovered’, India was a far advanced and developed country with a contribution of over 25% of world GDP till the 17th century and far advanced in all aspects of life, be it knowledge, philosophy, science, mathematics, arts, astronomy or navigation.

Ella Wheeler Wilcox, (1850-1919), American poet and journalist, wrote “India – The land of Vedas, the remarkable works contain not only religious ideas for a perfect life, but also facts which science has proved true. Electricity, radium, electronics, airship, all were known to the seers who founded the Vedas.”

Dick Teresi, American author of “Lost Discoveries’ mentioned “Some one thousand years before Aristotle, the Vedic Aryans asserted that the earth was round and circled the sun….

Two thousand years before Pythagoras, philosophers in northern India had understood that gravitation held the solar system together, and that therefore the sun, the most massive object, had to be at its center….

Twenty-four centuries before Isaac Newton, the Hindu Rig-Veda asserted that gravitation held the universe together…..

The Sanskrit speaking Aryans subscribed to the idea of a spherical earth in an era when the Greeks believed in a flat one…..

The Indians of the fifth century A.D. calculated the age of the earth as 4.3 billion years; scientists in 19th century England were convinced it was 100 million years…

”Despite all its riches, history says that India never invaded any country. On the contrary, India has been repeatedly assaulted and conquered by numerous invaders and has been ruled by “foreigners’, first the Muslims and then the British for over a thousand years. India, before the advent of the British rulers, was a rich and prosperous country.

Rev. Jabez T. Sunderland (1842-1936), Unitarian minister and reformer, wrote that “…when the British first appeared on the scene, India was one of the richest countries of the world; indeed, it was her great riches that attracted the British to her shores. For 2,500 years before the British came on the scene and robbed her of her freedom, India was self-ruling and one of the most influential and illustrious nations of the world …..

This wealth was created by the Hindus’ vast and varied industries.

”What about Hinduism as a religion?

Hinduism has a deep philosophical and spiritual heritage that has repeatedly mesmerized the world including western scientists, leaders and philosophers. Despite propaganda to the contrary, Hindus, like us, believes in one Supreme God but they do so in many forms, that helps to develop personalized relations.

Hinduism is the oldest major religion in the earth with 900 million followers. Unlike monotheistic institutionalized, religions like Judaism, Islam or Christianity, it is not based on any single prophet or scripture, but allows its followers all the freedom to pursue God and Truth in their own way, while living harmoniously with all creation.We know that the Hindus are tolerant of other religions.

Recently, UNESCO pointed out that out of 128 countries where Jews lived before Israel was created, only one, India, did not persecute them and allowed them to prosper and practice Judaism in peace.

Similarly the Zoroastrians, when driven out of Persia by Islam were given shelter by the Hindus in India and still coexist in India peacefully. Very recently, the Dalai Lama, driven from Buddhist Tibet, has been accepted with open arms. Such is the ethos of Hinduism and India.

I have heard that Mark Twain once said that “In religion all other countries are paupers; India is the only millionaire’. I have also read Arnold Toynbee’s writing “…at the religious level, India has not been a recipient; she has been a giver. About half the total number of the living, higher religions are of Indian origin’. What do you think about it?

We know India gave birth to religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. Hinduism, though the predominant religion, has, to quote Aldous Huxley, “never been a persecuting faith, have preached almost no holy wars and have refrained from that proselytizing religious imperialism which has gone hand in hand with political and economic oppression of colored people.’

What many do not know and I will not elaborate further for obvious reasons, is that there are researchers who think that the teachings of Jesus Christ have something to do with the ancient wisdom of Vedas. The Hindu concepts of “karma’, and “reincarnation’, which are part of the New Age Movement that we see today, were not unknown to Jesus.

Then Father, why do we need to convert people in India?

You see, we in the western world, have the “white man’s burden’ of civilizing the rest of the world. We also have the need and desire to spread the message of Christ, since we believe that it is the ONLY way to salvation and all other nonbelievers will go to hell. The faith in Christianity is being eroded in Europe and America.

That is why our Pope on his visit to India said, “Just as in the first millennium, the Cross was planted on the soil of Europe, and in the second on that of the Americas and Africa, we can pray that in the third Christian millennium a great harvest of faith will be reaped in this vast and vital continent.’

Why do you target India?

India is the right country because Hindu Indians are generally peace-loving tolerant, law abiding people who are truthful and virtuous. India”s devotion to being good rather than being clever comes nearer the heart of a true civilization, said W. J. Grant, in his book, “The spirit of India’.

The unsuspecting Indians have always welcomed everybody on their shore and still keep on doing so. You cannot say the same about a Muslim country or of communist China. You see Hindus are such naive – they go out of their way to say that “all religions are same – they all lead to God’. Christians and for that matter, no other religion, says that.

Where does your resource come from?

There are five major aid-giving countries, viz., USA, Germany, Britain, Italy and the Netherlands. According to the available data, in the last decade alone, foreign aid organizations received more than 2.5 billion dollars.

This is only official statistics. According to the record and report of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the statistics about the foreign aid being received by Indian Non Government Organizations shows that 80% of it is meant only for the Christian organizations that have been buying their ways into the Indian society and converting unsuspecting people under the guise of social service.

How powerful is Christianity in India?

Oh, though we are only 2.4% of the population officially, we have a large control over the country because of our economic invasion. You see, the present leader of the main political party of India is a Roman Catholic with close contact with the Vatican. There are Christian Chief ministers in 5 out of 29 states. Because of the British rule of India, we have a large section of the leaders of India who look up to us. Believe me, we are the second largest land owners in India. We own and control 80% of the Indian media and newspapers. We overtly or covertly have alliance with key political associations. So it is very easy for us to influence the right people.

You must have a very organized system?

Yes, we do. Have you heard about the Joshua Project? It identifies and highlights the people groups of the world that have the least exposure to the Gospel and the least Christian presence and shares this information to encourage pioneer church-planting movements among every ethnic group. The Joshua Project has identified the North India Hindi belt as “the core of the core of the core” because of its population density (40% of the Indian population- the states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh lies in this region); it is the religious hub of India; and it has the smallest Christian presence in India. Thus detailed plans have been drawn up to target India’s 75,000 Pin Codes.The Seventh Day Adventists owes its Indian success to Canadian evangelist Ron Watts, President for the South Asian Division. When he entered India, in 1997, the Adventist Church had 225,000 members after 103 years of operations. In five years, he took it to 700,000.Some methods used include the 10-Village and the 25-Village Programs, which involve five sets of laymen, under guidance from a regular pastor, who identify 10 or 25 villages in close proximity. Once the villages were selected, the teams would approach the leaders of each village and invite them to send two leaders to a 10-day seminar at a nearby resort, at the organization’s expense. It is before no time that the local leaders will then start working for our faith and organization. In 1998, there were seventeen 10-Village Programs and 9,337 were baptized. In 1999, forty programs were held and nearly 40,000 people baptized. Under the Christian Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Samuel Reddy, the Adventists shifted to a 50-village plan. They began baptizing at the rate of 10,000 persons per month. The US-based Maranatha Volunteers International provides buildings for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. They are committed to build 750 churches in 2 years in India. The Oregon based, Fjarli family have a goal to build 1000 churches at a rate of 1 per day.

How do you carry out conversion attempts?

You see the local people are so simple and naïve that they do not have any clue as what out motive or means are. We target mostly the poor, illiterate, tribal people because they are the easiest to convert. We do that by various means – we establish schools, hospitals that overtly or subtly promote our faith, we allure them with money or goods to the needy when they convert, we “stage’ miracle cures, we use our influence on the media, we use our experts in propaganda, we promote the influential people and so on. We use the money sent to us by unsuspecting religious and faithful Christians from all over the world. We have numerous NGO and AID organizations to funnel the money into the country. There are a great number of missionaries of various denominations who are working there, all literally competing for the most number of converts. The Southern Baptists alone are a group that has nearly 100,000 career missionaries in North India, all working to spread our “good word.”

We convince the “natives’ by our appearances and even use their own culture. A native converted person will continue to use his Hindu name so as not to alienate himself. Some of the numerous Catholic priests in Southern India dress like “sannyasis’ (monks), and call their organizations “ashramas’ (hermitage). This is to make Christianity more similar to the Vedic traditions. Bharat Natyam, the classical dance of India, is also taught in the Christian schools, but with Christian symbols and meanings replacing the Vedic. This is all in the attempt to actively sway Hindus over to Christianity. The Evangelical Church of India (ECI), established in 1954, targets the slums, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, in cities and villages. Its logo depicts a cross struck deep in a lotus, the seat of Hindu divinity.

Is the so called caste system in India an advantage?

The “Caste-ism in India’ is a boon to us. Though Varna or caste was once an essential part of the culture, based on occupation and vocational skills, which kept the civilization going for over 5000 years, caste-ism is a degenerated socio-political system now that has been declared illegal. However it is one big weapon against Hinduism. We have learnt from the colonial British that it is very easy to divide the population on the basis of caste and religion based politics and we use it to our own interest to the maximum. We join the anti-Hindu forces and help to keep the stigma of caste-ism alive for our own benefit. We target the “untouchables’ (the unprivileged people, that has so marvelously crafted to be a result of the Hindu religion and not the social system) and convert them in the lure of “liberating’ them. However I must confess that we maintain their “untouchability’ by not allowing them to mix with the general Christians, maintaining separate entry to churches and even giving them separate churches and cemeteries.

We also use opportunities that God gives us. During natural disasters like floods, earthquakes and the recent Tsunami, taking advantage of the need, we were able to convert successfully entire low caste villages in Tamil Nadu to Christianity with the lure of money and aid.

How successful are you in your conversion attempts.

Oh we are doing a good job. The Northeast Indian states like Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur, have witnessed a surge of nearly 200% in their Christian population in the past 25 years. Their grasp is so strong now that practicing Hinduism is forbidden in some areas. Hindus can no longer do worship or “puja’ in the open because of our influence. In another northeast state, Tripura, where there were no Christians at the time of India’s independence, 55 years ago, there are now over 120,000 today. The figures are even more striking in Arunachal Pradesh, where there were only 1710 Christians in 1961, but over 1 million today, along with over 780 churches. In the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, churches are coming-up every day in far flung villages and there is an attempt to set-up one near Tirupati, the world famous Hindu temple. Many of the North-East separatist movements, such as the Mizo or the Bodos, are not only Christian dominated, but also sometimes function with the covert backing of the missionaries. Christian Nagaland terrorists have been killing non-Christians for decades on end. More than 20,000 people have lost their lives to insurgency in Assam and Manipur in the past two decades. We understand that there are some social problems that crept up – the northeast states are the highest in India in terms of drugs and AIDS related problem – but we accept that as “casualties of war’ –that should not deter us from our goal.

Do you face any resistance?

Of course we do. But we brand any resistance as “Hindu fundamentalism or militancy’ and the media and our favorite leaders take care of the rest. We have set the mind of the unsuspecting population in a way, that whenever any of our people are harassed, attacked or killed, from any reason including their own faults, the blame automatically goes to these so called “Hindu fundamentalist’ and even though almost all of these instances are later proved to have nothing to do with these Hindu groups, the initial hue and cry that is raised makes sure the memories persist in the mind of the populace and the sympathy stays with us. There are instances when nuns have been proved to be raped by Christians, but the blames continues to stay with the Hindus.

Is there any legal barrier?

Yes there are some rules and laws that sometimes impair our activities. The Indian Supreme Court had declared that: “The right to propagate religion does not mean the right to convert… Conversion done under allurement, use of force and fraud in which the poverty or ignorance of the individual is taken advantage of, is not only undemocratic but also unconstitutional…Respect for all religions is the foundation of secularism whereas the seeds of conversion lie in religious intolerance.”. Anti conversion laws have been passed in various states. But as I said, we have our ways.

Sometimes the law does get us though. We had some instances where members of our faith have been convicted with resultant imprisonment or expulsion. As in churches all over the world, some clergymen have been penalized for cases of sexual exploitation, including pedophilia. But that does not deter us from our goal and our almighty Lord takes care of our soul.

How satisfied are you with the progress of the missions?

It is really satisfying. We find enormous pleasure in converting the Hindu “pagans’. However I wish we could do more. I wish I could say like St Francis Xavier, during the Goa Inquisition in 1560, “When I have finished baptizing the people, I order them to destroy the huts in which they keep their idols; and I have them break the statues of their idols into tiny pieces, since they are now Christians. I could never come to an end describing to you the great consolation which fills my soul when I see idols being destroyed by the hands of those who had been idolaters.”

Thank you, Father for your time and honesty.
Thank you, my son. God bless you.

Epilogue

“Christianity offers nothing that is not already available somewhere in the many forms of Hinduism. Hinduism never rejected the teachings of Jesus. Those who have converted either agreed with a gun pressed at their skulls as in Goa, or because it provided an escape from caste tyranny, as well as a guaranteed professional advancement. Through its Vedic legacy, Hinduism respects all faiths. It clearly states that God is one, but has many forms. The Christian message must sound preposterous: that God is indeed one, but has only one recognized form, his son. The “savages” of India were sophisticated - so sophisticated that the imperialist mixture of church and state in Europe could not grasp such sophistication….”

How to destroy a people in god's name

A fearful and persistent chorus of hostility is widespread on numerous Internet sites. They purvey rancid hatreds that amount to a call for the ?destruction? of Brahmins. Virtually all of it is ultimately orchestrated intellectually and financially by the American Christian Right. However, the demand for the elimination of Brahmins cannot end with their ethnic cleansing and legal restrictions on their human rights, which are already enshrined in the Indian Constitution and successive amendments to it. These policies and attitudes have become so deeply entrenched that very few, including Brahmins themselves, question their wider connotations and intrinsic legitimacy. Eventually, pogroms and mass murder are the most effective way of expelling large numbers of people because only the better off flee in response to mere legal discrimination and threats alone.

On the latter course of action, south India has become the experimental laboratory of the Church where it now has a political leadership of its choice ensconced in most places, i.e. Hindu-baiters one and all. The Church is therefore able to pursue the first element of a broader strategy of severing India from its Vedic Hindu past that it associates with India?s upper castes in general and Brahmins in particular. This is the same way polytheistic pluralism was violently extirpated in Byzantium, Europe and Latin America. And mass murder to achieve Christian ascendancy was not merely a medieval stratagem. The ?final solution? occurred in the twentieth century and the ancient aspiration to end the Jewish presence in the midst of Christian communities was largely achieved. The shedding of copious tears now that Jews are largely gone adds insult to injury. It doesn?t seem to prevent unctuous concern for those seeking to destroy what remains of Jewry, tragically incarcerated in the midst of the Arab world.

The political instincts for the Nuremberg laws enacted by the Nazis, against alleged Jewish ?pollution?, are resurfacing virulently in India in a distinctive guise against the upper castes, irrespective of their socio-economic status. It is being propelled by the global Christian Right and a swathe of Indian studies departments in universities across the world, especially the US and the UK. And these machinations coincide with the dreams of world imperial domination and racial primacy that are the historic hallmark of European empires. The Church and the imperial State have always been engaged in an embrace that may not be readily apparent today, but it has ancient roots. Underlying the mundane dispute over the portrayal of Hindus in California?s school textbooks the crude message of the Church and its academic co-conspirators was the determination to destroy Hinduism, which they openly describe as an abomination. The descendants of those who invented the grim cruelties of plantation slavery and established the Southern Baptist Convention to provide it with Christian justification should have hesitated to preach equality.

The Church is the most lethal enemy of Hindus precisely because it is conjoined politically with powerful imperialist nations, led by the US, but including Russia and most European Union countries. The virulent hatred for Hindus being displayed by the contemporary Russian Orthodox Church is in striking contrast to the official Russian penchant for dialogue with Chechens terrorists, ultimately responsible for the murder of hundreds of Russian school children in Beslan. The Church in its various denominational incarnations worldwide astutely concluded long ago that the enslavement of Hindus requires the destruction of their intellectual leadership, identified as Brahmins by them. There is a vast corpus of Christian writing against Hindus in general and Brahmins in particular that dates back to the colonial conquests of the Portuguese, the British and the French. Hunting and murdering upper caste Hindus, with priority being accorded to Brahmins, was a sport that Islamic invaders and Christian proselytisers engaged in with great gusto. As the astute Sir V. S. Naipaul observed, you cut off the head of a conquered people by first killing its leadership. This is why, presumably, the Portuguese unfailingly engaged in feasts of blood lust for which their imperial ventures were notorious.

Nevertheless, in the end, the campaign against Brahmins will need to encompass a much wider swathe of Hindu society. Brahmins are only a part of the problem identified by the Church because of their historical importance. Many others are active as Hindus and will have to be dealt with in turn. Of course attacking your enemy in sequence rather than simultaneously is a logical tactic. And Andhra Pradesh is their principal experimental laboratory right now, where irreversible facts are being created on the ground with barely a response from supposed Hindu leaders. But a ?final solution? to the world?s Brahmin problem could be achieved in much the way Europe ?solved ? its Jewish problem through mass murder and expulsion. For the present, the flight of some of these Hindu communities is the dominant reality. Like that of the post-WWII Jewish Diaspora it is deviously portrayed as ?voluntary?.

Sowing seeds of discord among Hindus has remained a diabolical ploy of the Church from colonial times. The determined dissemination of vicious propaganda about upper caste perfidy continues unabated, with various racist academics active in the fray in recent months. A numerically insignificant, but influential group of mainly Dalit Christians have become the standard bearers of the criminal enterprise of the global Church to sort out upper caste Hindus once-and-for-all. They are now being actively abetted by various organs of the Indian State. A significant minority of Brahmins themselves have also turned collaborators in this project at the destruction of Brahmins and the alleged horrors of Hinduism they nurture. Many Hindus are eager to sell their grandmothers for money and recognition accorded to them by whites, no matter how demeaning it is in reality. Significantly, every renowned Indian radical alarmed by oppression of what they pathetically describe as ?the people? ends up finding a well-paid niche in some US university.

Yet, the very idea that Brahmins and other supposedly high caste Hindus constitute a homogenous national group is plainly inaccurate. They are more distinguished by their internal divisions, indeed rivalries. They are deeply divided politically and socially by sub-caste and ethnic identities that are likely to become their epitaph. Yet this deliberately misleading depiction, which has an old colonial origin, is an axiom of self-knowledge in independent India. Researchers like Nicholas Dirks have pointed out that it was colonial efforts to classify Hindu communities, presumably to discover exploitable divisions useful in ruling over them that enhanced insular caste cleavages and heightened caste oppression. The sense of Hindu identity became much more polarised directly as a result of such British colonial policy, undermining, in the process, the greater interaction between castes and the pluralism that previously existed. In the same vein, some sacred texts like the laws of Manu have been misused absurdly to claim the prevalence of reactionary legal precepts across India. The independent-minded feminist writer, Madhu Kishwar, no supporter of Hindu political aspirations, has eloquently shown such a situation to be highly implausible in a society largely dominated by local custom and practice.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the campaign to eliminate Brahmins, the largest groups of intellectual opponents of white Christianity in the modern world, other than Jews, is ensnaring Hindu groups in a fraudulent dialogue with the Church. Such Hindu groups in the UK, generally dominated by nondescript, small businessmen, unduly vulnerable to minor inducements, have been largely captured by the Anglican Church. These dialogues amount to an effective diversionary strategic manoeuvre the Church has adopted successfully to lull Hindus into a false sense of apparent legitimacy in the eyes of their racial superiors. By whispering sweet nothings over tea and biscuits into the ears of greedy Hindu businessmen looking for opportunities for their own private advancement the Anglican Church acts as master puppeteers.

Intellectually vacuous, vain, inarticulate and morally corrupt self-elected Hindu leaders were on the verge of signing an accord with the Church on ?legitimate conversions? a few years ago and only desisted when a demarche was issued by the late Seshadri-ji of the RSS from India. It is also almost certain that prominent community leaders are habitually compromised by the British security services. Their very prominence within the community itself stems from being invited to various silly dialogues by the British authorities, including the Church, which have effectively selected the Hindu interlocutors they find useful. The ardent desire of such community leaders for intimacy with the British authorities is cause for serious concern and a sign of a profound Hindu malaise.

The sophisticated and articulate public relations conducted in the UK and elsewhere by apologists of Islamic terror and their brazen assertiveness cannot but elicit some admiration. By contrast, virtually no major Hindu community spokesman in the UK can engage in a grammatically correct conversation in English, which happens to be the necessarily unavoidable medium in which spokesmen need to be articulate. The sole exception I have encountered in the UK in over twenty years is a practising monk and his sheer brilliance made me weep in despair at the rest. Those who have heard him will remember him as Bimal Krishna Das of the Hare Krishna movement, himself the object of not a little envy within the Hindu community. Since utter mediocrity is the reigning principle in every Hindu organisation one encounters his presence causes resentment. By and large, Hindus seem to want to please their tormentors in exchange for brief exposure on any public platform and perhaps modest financial consideration as well.

Karunanidhi, Jaggi Vasudev and Sankaracharya

Atheism, Religion and Politics of "Spirituality": The attitude of Karunanidhi, a sworn atheist and surprisingly heading a State of Secular India perplexes in any aspect – politically, socially, and psychologically. His mind-set towards Hindu religion, Hindu Gods and Goddesses, Hindu scriptures, Hindu rituals, rites and ceremony has been also intriguing, as he has been passing only sarcastic, caustic and venomous remarks, comments and criticism, whether it is warranted or wanton. The just-past events make Indians to view the inconsistencies, contradictions or inexplicable things crept into similar events but dealt with differently by various people, authorities and others involved. How and why the rulers behave with one group of religious believers in one particular way, whereas with other, they act differently? Is there any selective atheism that one should believe in one god but blaspheme other god? Is there any spirituality that trees [planted by one would grow and planted by others wither away?

Appeasement or expiation? He called the Grama-pujaris (Village Temple priests) as "Pandarams, Paradeshis" and so on, but participated in the Conference organized by VHP in Madurai. After coming to power, ironically, he activated the Board for them (in early 2007), obviously to appease them, expiate or repent for the sins committed, if at all, he is believed in it. More irony is the "thanks-giving" functions organized by Gramapujarigal Peravai, a VHP affiliated organization. In fact, though the board was set up in 2001, it did not function in the last five years. S.Vedantham, the Managing Trustee of the Board, who met the Chief Minister (as reported by the Hindu 24-12-2006) brought this to the notice of the non-functioning and he agreed to do the needful.

Hindu organisations, led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, had thus succeeded in getting the demands of lakhs of Grama Koil Poojaris (village temple priests) fulfilled at last when M. Karunanidhi cleared on January 13, 2007, the proposal to constitute a welfare board for village priests in the state. The board is a social security measure for priests of village temples not coming under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department that administers bigger temples. A few weeks before the state govrnment's announcement, VHP leaders including its international vice president Shri. S. Vedantam and state youth wing organiser Shri. R.R. Gopaljee met the Chief Minister to press the VHP demand in favour of Grama Koil Poojaris.

The Arrest of Sankaracharya in 2004: On the Deepavali eve in November 2004, Sankarachary was arrested. Karunanidhi, the arrest in a murder case as an "honest and commendable action." He hoped that the law would be allowed to take its course without interference. Addressing a press conference here, he said though it could not be denied that the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Government had "close links with the Sankara Mutt," its head was arrested. A fast, planned by the DMK and its allies at Kancheepuram demanding the arrest of the Sankaracharya, was not necessary, thanks to the police action, he said. Karunanidhi said the arrest episode reminded him of the saying, "if a virtuous woman commits a sin she can cleanse herself by having a dip in the Ganges but where will she go seeking atonement if the holy river itself is polluted?" The atheist and secular CM does not apply the same yardstick to all!

Karunanidhi kept quite when Jaggi Vasudev was charged with murder in 1997: The following is the Indian Express report as appearing on October 12, 1997 about Police registering a case of murder by Jaggi Vasudev:

Coimbatore, Oct, 11: Close on the heels of scandals relating to fake godmen getting exposed, yet another ashram from Coimbatore is in the limelight with Jaggi Vasudev aliash Jagadeesh of Isha Yoga ashram at Poondi near Coimbatore, being charged with the murder of his wife Viji alias Vijayakumari.

A team of police personnel recently visited the premises of Isha Ashram at poondi and interrogated the inmates of the ashram. Godman Jaggi is away in the US.

According to police, T. S. Ganganna of Bangalore (father of Viji) had preferred a complaint with the Bangalore Police suspecting foul play in the death of his daughter Viji. The complaintant had stated that his daughter left him last on June 15, 1996. He reportedly received a message on January 23, 1997, from Jaggi Vasudev, stating that Viji was no more.

Ganganna said that Jaggi Vasudev had hurriedly completed the cremation on Jan.24 even before they could rush from Bangalore, raising suspicion about the nature of death. He suspected death due to poisoning or strangulation.

According to him, Jaggi Vasudev could have caused the death of Viji to facilitate his illicit relationship with yet another inmate of the ashram. Based on the complaint of Ganganna to the Bangalore City Police on Aug. 12, a case was registered.

The Bangalore City Police transferred it to the Coimbatore Rural Police.

The Coimbatore Rural Police have registered a case against Jaggi Vasudev under Section 302 of IPC (murder) and IPC 201 (suppression of evidence).

Later. Isa Yoga Foundatrion has denied reports that Jaggi Vasudev had fled to USA to avoid investigation of ashram. Authorised Signatory of Ashram Kiran stated that Guruji had gone for giving lectures . ENS

But nothing is known to the Public or citizens of Tamilnadu or Karnatka. Incidentally, just after the arrest of Sanaracharya, a Catholic priest was arrested in Kanyakumari area for murder, rape etc., Though, initially reports appeared in newspapers, totally there was silence in the media. In fact, about Jaggi nothing came in any TV-Channel, as compared to wide, prolonged and repeated coverage of Sankarachrya. No eminent writer, actress or any other complained or gave interview in SUN or UDAY TV. And Karunanidhi – oh, it did not concern at all. He never comented after reading newspaper said the episode reminded him of the saying, "if a virtuous woman commits a sin she can cleanse herself by having a dip in the Ganges but where will she go seeking atonement if the holy river itself is polluted?" Why, obviously. Because, Jaggi was not arrested! No agitation announced urging the government to arrest.

On November 13, 2002, he said laws should be enacted to curb fake godmen mushrooming. Those who introduced such laws must have a progressive outlook and a commitment to rid society of superstition. Awareness should be created among the people to end frauds committed in the name of god, religion and spirituality. The heads of mutts should not misuse religious symbols to cover up their wrongdoings, he said. "We wish that the trial is conducted in a fair manner without any interference. Let us wait and see how things take their course" was his reply to a question on apprehensions raised, considering the Sankaracharya's "political influence." On reports of persons holding high offices visiting the Mutt to show their proximity to the Sankaracharya, Mr. Karunanidhi said it was unfair that constitutional functionaries such as the President were made to stand before religious heads. How then, he accommodated a charge-sheeted and murder accused person, sat with him? Before Indian law also, like Karunanidhi, the Saints are discriminated by religion ad ideology? Can the Law and judiciary be ideologized? NYes, naturally, wjen atheist or Communist or Communalist Judges are appointed by the Politicians, how they would deliver judgments?

Karunanidhi urges ascetics to follow Jaggi Vasudev's lead 2007: The nation and the world would be better off, if all the ascetics follow the path shown by Jaggi Vasudev, founder of Isha Foundation, in environmental protection, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said on 24-09-2007. Addressing a function organised by the foundation to mark its 25th anniversary, he said he always held in high esteem the religious leaders such as Kundrakudi Adigal and his successor for their service to Tamil. He respected Sri Jaggi Vasudev for his effort at planting of saplings. He preferred ascetics who strove for social uplift to those who focused only on religion. Those who talked of religion alone issued fearsome threats and imprecation, the Chief Minister said, presiding over the launch of a campaign for planting of 2.5 crore saplings. http://www.thehindu.com/2007/09/24/stories/2007092454470500.htm

D.R. Karthikeyan, former Director, Central Bureau of Investigation, referred to the agrarian crisis in different parts of the country and said insurance cover and remunerative prices would solve the problems of farmers. Launching the green campaign, Kanimozhi, Member of Parliament, said religion was meant for elevating people, not to divide them. Sudha Raghunathan, musician and devotee of Sri Jaggi Vasudev, welcomed the gathering. They never cared for Jaggi's involvement.

The speech of Karunanidhi during the Silver jubilee function of Isha Yoga Maiyam held at the grounds of Anna University on 23rd September had been interesting to note, as on the same day so many other things were going on. This is given, because, "The Hindu" had given only edited version. "The tree-planting activity has been going on and I get an opportunity to participate. I can understand the love of people in the service of tree plantation who have come from hamlets and villages, which is possible because of the hard work of Karttikeyan and efforts of Sathguru. I can feel about the attraction of Sathguru's advice and gracious words reaching hamlets. There have been many Turaviyar. I breathe out with emotion how this land, why any land would have grown with this type of hermits. I had immense regard for the great Hindu saint Kundrakkudi Adigalar. The reason is that he nurtured Tamil. As the present pontiff also works for the Tamil development, I have contact with him. Sathuguru does not grow religion. I love him because he grows trees. One may order to bring head, bring hand, bring tongue only, when he grows religion. But one can give excellent advice to people for good living, if he grows trees. Sathguru does that only. I was really taken aback that he could attract such a large gathering of people. I feel happy also. It may appear very simple about planting trees now, but it would help for nation's growth".

Last year, on 16-10-2006, the same type of function was organized. http://www.thehindu.com/2006/10/16/stories/2006101616890600.htm

Jaggi reacts to Karunanidhi: On 29-09-2007, he reacted as follows on various subjects, including Ramasethu! "Only experts in ecology, heritage and economic aspects should decide what should happen there," said Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation, about the Ramar Sethu issue. In an interview to The Hindu he said: "This is not just about Ramar Sethu. (So Karunanidhi asked him to talk like that or his belief did so?) We are doing this all the time. Whether it is the titanium plant in Tamil Nadu or the car unit in Bengal, the SEZs somewhere else, we are trying to decide things on the streets. This is not the way to build a nation. These things must be decided by knowledgeable people, and those who are qualified to do that."

Religion and spirituality: Elaborating on the activities of the Foundation, he said its essential work was spiritual. "There is a very fundamental difference between religion and spirituality. When you say you belong to a certain religion, you naturally say that you are a believer. But the moment you say you are on a spiritual path, you are a seeker. A scientist is a seeker. In fact, they are in the same boat. One is seeking the outside realities. The other is seeking the inner realities." Speaking on religion, Jaggi Vasudev said most religions probably started as a device for ultimate human well-being.

"But these devices, over a period of time, are standing up like demons, ready to devour humanity. Whether they devour or not, they have definitely divided humanity. Unfortunately in a way you can't unite, at least in the immediate span of time." Referring to the event held in Chennai recently, in which Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi participated, he points out that about 4.5 lakh people were present. "With no politics, no God, no enemy, you can't gather so many people. But now, people are coming just to change their lives. We call it the silent revolution of self realisation."

On the Foundation's involvement with the Tamil Nadu Government, he said, "For me, this does not mean an alignment with the Tamil Nadu Government or a particular party. People have honoured somebody with leadership. I have no business not to honour that."

`Ethos of our culture': The spiritual sciences were woven into the cultural fabric of India. And this science was expressed in the story form because India is a dialectical culture. Somewhere along the way, a few generations dropped the science and carried just the stories. Stories without science get exaggerated to ridiculous levels, he said. "People should dare to look at life through current intelligence. That has been the ethos of this culture. There is no one book, one belief system we should follow. People can create their own gods. The god-making industry exists only in India and it's fantastic. Nobody's interested in God. People think God is a free ticket to well-being. People are interested in well-being."

How Reverence changes from Jaggi to Sankaracharya? The repeated addressing of Jaggi as "Jagathdguru" is interesting in the context, as everybody knows, generally, it refers to Sankaracharya. But he never showed any such reverence to any Sankaracharya. How then, his sudden reverence to "Jaggi"? Of course, he has explained his own yardstick of measuring and assessing Turavis and Samiyars. He can only assess and judge them. Therefore, a dangerous situation is created in Tamilnadu, where certain religious leaders or Gurus are set against other religious Gurus and heads. Here, the religious Heads and Gurus should ponder over what they are upto? Karunanidhi as a CM may threaten them with HR C & E Act for dire consequences. But, against the God, believers and scriptures, could they stoop down to such a mean level? Can they cheat their devotees and followers?

Hindus are thieves, bandits, barbarians, etc: Some years back in 2002, Karunanidhi drew the ire of some sections when he called Hindus "thieves". "Do Hindus have a religion? Who is a Hindu? If you ask some right thinking people they'll say that Hindu actually means a thief. I do no consider that to be a despicable thief, but a thief who has stolen the hearts," He had stated while addressing a public meeting in 2002 organised by Muslim and Christian outfits to protest the anti-conversion ordinance of the then Jayalalithaa Government. Later, he reportedly clarified that he had merely quoted from a Hindi Encyclopedia published from Varanasi. "It had defined a Hindu as cruel, servant and bandit. Nevertheless, I chose to ignore that definition and softened it to mean as thieves of hearts," he said - http://www.indianexpress.com/story/219610.html. He could call Hindus "thieves, bandits" and so on. He can call their God Rama a "drunkard" and so on. But none could question him. Even historians and religious heads could support his stand! What sort of secularism or spirituality is followed in India?

FIR filed against Karunanidhi, case registered against Karunanidhi, but case withdrawn by Karunanidhi: Indians may be having short memory, but what about Hindus? Perhaps, they do not bother about anything! Within five years, Karunanidhi wants to dispose off the case filed against him! What a great ruler! Read the following:

October 24, 2002 – Karunanidhi talks nonsense about Hindus.

On November 14, 2003, the Government gave sanction to prosecute Karunanidhi. A chargesheet was also filed and the case was posted for trial.

May 21, 2007- On verification on Balasubramaniam, an advocate came to know that on a memo filed by the Public Prosecutor based on a G.O the case had been withdrawn.

Chennai, November 14: Chennai police have registered an FIR against DMK President M. Karunanidhi for his recent alleged remarks against the Hindu community, police said on Thursday. The 14th Metropolitan Magistrate Paramaraj had on Wednesday directed police to investigate the complaint filed by one R. Premnath alleging that certain remarks by Karunanidhi had "hurt the sentiments of the Hindus". The magistrate directed police to register a complaint and submit the preliminary investigation report within three weeks, police said. Karunanidhi had allegedly made certain remarks against the Hindus at a conference organised in Chennai on October 24, 2002 by the Christian community to protest the anti-conversion law. Govt. withdraws case against Karunanidhi

Chennai, August 9, 2007: The Madras High Court today admitted a petition, challenging a Tamil Nadu Government order, withdrawing a case against Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, relating to his alleged remarks against Hindus. A Division Bench of Justice P K Misra and Justice R Banumathi admitted the Public Interest Litigation and ordered notice, returnable by eight weeks, to Secretary to Public Department and DMK President M Karunanidhi. In his PIL,Balasubramanian, an advocate, contended that on October, 2002, Karunanidhi made the remarks at a meeting with "a deliberate and malicious intention to hurt the sentiments of Hindus." His client R Premnath, an advocate, filed a private complaint before a Metropolitan Magistrate. On November 14, 2003, the Government gave sanction to prosecute Karunanidhi. A chargesheet was also filed and the case was posted for trial. On verification on May 21, 2007, he came to know that on a memo filed by the Public Prosecutor based on a G.O the case had been withdrawn.

Contending that Karunanidhi after becoming Chief Minister rescinded the previous G.O by the present one, he said Karunanidhi had no locus standi to withdraw his own case. (Agencies)

It is said that no one should sit as a judge in his own case, but Karunanidhi does, because, he has been above Court, Act and rules. This has been a classical case proving that Karunanidhi does not respect law. So it is very dangerous to have such persons as rulers. Even Tiruvalluvar condemns such type of rulers. We do not know whether it is "Dravidian culture" or "Muslim culture", or "Christian culture" he is following. Robert Clive and Warren Hastings had done such frauds. So can we say Karunanidhi follows them? Sir Isaac Newton has done it in condemning his enemy Leibniz. So can we say Karunanidhi followed Newton? Perhaps, that is why, he used to openly say and do it (We do what we say). No Court, no law nothing. Is it Hitlerism or otherwise? Or we call it "Karunanidhism" which may supercede all types fascism etc? When this is the position of a person occupying the highest chair, what would be the actions of his followers? Would they care for law or not? What would be position of people of Tamilnadu?

Ideologization of Judiciary and courts: The above discussion makes to think about the clear ideologization of Indian Judiciary and courts by the vested interests of Politicians. Here also, typically, the atheist, Communist, so-called minorities have been ganged up against one group. The Judges, Solicitor Generals, Public Prosecutors, ACGSCs, Councils and others at State and Central government level are blatantly nominated by the ruling parties with political and that too ideological affiliations. How then, they could give judgments against Rulers or their appointed masters? Above all, their ideology works at various levels satisfying their psycho-somatic needs. Indians may have to come out of this type of situation. The more irony is that a ruler can withdraw cases filed against himself! If that is the case, what about the cases filed against others? Perhaps, it is very easy. If a CM wants, he can arrest and put in jail ant religious leader or he can share with him in a dias and appreciate his work as divine"! Long live "atheist spirituality"!

Violation of Hindu HR - Need for a Hindu nation - IV

V SUNDARAM

Anationalistic and patriotic Hindu of post-independent India, who derives his inspiration and nationalistic idealism from the teachings of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, Bipin Chandra Pal, Bal Gangadar Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai, Vir Savarkar, and such other incomparable patriots, has great difficulty in feeling himself to be a part of the 'imaginary Nation' (a Pseudo Secular Anti-Hindu Notion!!) for which the whole national system today is being operated by the all the Governments in Inda. He is unable to identify himself emotionally with this imaginary, artificial, 'composite' national entity which the Indian State has been representing. An 'enormous gulf' has been created between the 'NATION' and the 'STATE', between the national society and the ruling class. It is this gulf which is causing disintegration and decimation of the national society, organised disappearance of collective consciousness and sensitivity, debasement, debauchment and degeneration of social conscience. It is because of this politically motivated and criminally perpetrated hiatus between a false Nation (Notion!!) and a truly blood-sucking State that there is a continuous proliferation of selfishness, corruption and moral degradation in all walks of our national life today. The larger 'Hindu National Society' has been totally alienated from the State and the national will to boldly face all the problems confronting our nation today has all but vanished.

THUS, I AM OF THE CONSIDERED VIEW THAT THERE IS GROSS VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS OF HINDUS IN INDIA. What are Human Rights? 'Human Rights' mean 'the basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled, often held to include the right to life and liberty, freedom of thought and expression, and equality before the law.' The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, 'All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.'

Hindu Human Rights must commonly include the following Cluster of Rights:

* Security rights that prohibit crimes such as murder/'enforced' involuntary suicide, massacre, torture and rape

* Liberty rights that protect freedoms in areas such as belief and religion, association, assembling and movement

* Political rights that protect the liberty to participate in politics by expressing themselves, protesting, participating in a republic

* Due process rights that protect against abuses of the legal system such as imprisonment without trial, secret trials and excessive punishments

* Equality rights that guarantee equal citizenship, equality before the law and nondiscrimination

* Welfare rights (also known as economic rights) that require the provision of, eg, education, paid holidays, and protections against severe poverty and starvation

* Group rights

Security Rights of Hindus are being denied by the Government and the State. Liberty Rights are being abridged by the anti-Hindu Government on the one hand and denied by the pseudo-secular (in effect anti-Hindu) political parties on the other. Political Rights are being denied by the Government, State and all the political parties acting under the ideological umbrella of 'Perverted Secularism'. Due process rights are being denied by the Judiciary at all levels, acting as self-proclaiming cultural and legal spokesmen for upholding only 'Minority Rights'. Equality rights are being denied by the Government, the State and the Judiciary, diabolically acting together in concert, apart from all the political parties directly involved in a collective conspiracy against the Hindus of India. Welfare rights and Group rights of only the minorities - The Muslims and the Christians - are the concern of the Government and the State. Those of Hindus are irrelevant, anti-national and anti-social - in short, 'Communal'. Thus the Vicious Circle of Denial of Hindu Human Rights is comprehensive, universal, total and all-pervasive.

All these rights are being denied to the Hindus who are in absolute numerical majority in India. I shall prove this thesis by posing some simple and direct questions at the end of this paper.

The significant point that merits attention today is that though we Hindus are a Nation, we are not yet an independent Nation. We are still a subjugated Nation. If we analyze carefully, we can see that the Hindu Nation did not actually gain freedom on August 15, 1947. The Hindus of India only underwent a change of the Master, a change of rulers from Vilayathi Anti-Indian Rulers to Desi Anti-Hindu Rulers. Thanks to the honest commitment of Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the Muslim Nation of undivided India gained their own geographic space and freedom on 14 August, 1947 but not the battered Hindus of India. The Muslims established their own State in that territory called Pakistan and that State is still conducting its affairs by holding the cultural aspirations, honour and interests of the Muslims of Bharath Varsha also as its responsibility. But Hindus neither gained recognition as a Nation, nor their own State nor control over their National Homeland or destiny.

Thus there is no STATE today, certainly not in India, to protect Hindu interests in the international arena, to raise an effective voice for the Hindus. If Jews are unjustly treated in any part of the world, the State of Israel, supreme representative of an independent Jewish Nation, immediately raises its voice. Our disgusting Prime Minister would spend sleepless nights only for Hanif in Australia and not for the peaceful Hindus who get killed in Afghanistan or the Middle East.

The sole and supreme task before us Hindus now is that we rescue ourselves from the suicidal stranglehold of the alternate anti-Hindu Nation-Perception of Gandhi and Nehru, and awaken National Consciousness in ourselves. We have to develop a clear National Vision. Such a vision should show us that

A) We Hindus are a NATION, not a religious community. Our national identity is Hindu. We would declare the name of our nationality to be Hindu, and no other name would be acceptable to us.

B) The distinctive feature of our NATION is 'Sanatana Dharma'. We shall not accept any other alien ideology as the heritage of our country. We cannot regard any alien creed as our religion.

C) Undivided India is our Motherland. Even though parts of India have seceded today, we do not accept this division. Our goal is to reunite the whole of our ancestral Homeland into our Motherland, regardless of all terror and, however long and hard the road may be.

D) Hindu Culture is our national culture. Hindu Society is our national society. Hindu Art is our national art. Hindu Literature is our national literature. Hindu History is our national history. There is no Muslim Period or British Period in this history; it is only the history of continuous Hindu struggle against Muslim invaders and British colonialists. The struggle against the Perverted Secularists is still continuing. Without victory in this struggle, there is no survival - no survival for Hindus and Sanatana Dharma, no survival for the urge and impulse of the Ages.

E) People subscribing the theologies of alien religion are minorities in our country, not a part of our nation. We consider these alien ideologies to be enemies of our nation. The goal is to bring our minorities back into our nation.

F) Sanskrit is our national mother tongue, with its sister languages and many off- springs.

G) We are still a subjugated, enslaved nation. Perverted Nehru Secularists are not our own people. Their regime is nor our regime. We have to liberate Mother India from their stranglehold and earn our freedom. To secure our freedom, the Hindu Nation has to gain its independence. After securing freedom, we have to set up our own Nation State - The Hindu Nation State. We have to discard the present Indian Constitution and give ourselves a new Constitution of our own rooted in our own national, cultural, spiritual and religious ethos.

In order to understand and know the extent to which there is a gross violation of Human Rights of Hindus in India, we have only to pose the following simple questions:

There are nearly 52 Muslim countries. Which Muslim country provides Haj subsidy?

Which is the Muslim country where Hindus are extended the same special rights that Muslims are accorded in India?

Which is the country where the 85% majority craves for the indulgence of the 15 per cent minority under its own Constitution?

Which is the Muslim country that has a non-Muslim as its President or Vice President or Prime Minister?

Has any Mullah or Maulvi ever issued a 'fatwa' against the terrorists?

When Christian and Muslim Schools can teach the Bible and the Quran respectively, why cannot the Hindus teach the Bhagavad Gita or the Ramayana in their schools?

Why are temple funds spent for the welfare of Muslims and Christians, even when they have all the freedom to spend their money in any way they like only - and only for themselves?

Why does the Government of India consider Sanskrit as communal and Urdu as secular, Mandir as communal and Masjid as secular, Sadhu as communal and Imam as secular, BJP as communal and Muslim League as secular, Vande Mataram as communal and Allah as secular?

Violation of Hindu HR - Need for a Hindu nation - III

V SUNDARAM

The fact that 'WE HINDUS ARE A NATION' is by no means a new idea. This idea has been with us from the dawn of history. The saint, sage and seer Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902) made the most powerful pronouncement of this idea in 1893. In his brief 5-minute first address, Swami Vivekananda declared at the inaugural session of the Parliament of Religions at Chicago in 1893: 'I thank you in the name of the millions and millions of Hindu people of all classes and sects'. Then he spoke THREE SENTENCES which were most significant. First, he said: 'I am proud to belong to a RELIGION which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance.' In the second sentence he said: 'I am proud to belong to a NATION which has sheltered the persecuted and the refugees of all religions and all nations of the earth'. In this context, he cited an example, namely, that when the sacred temple of the Jews was demolished by the Romans, we Hindus gave shelter to the Jewish refugees and took care of them in India. In the third sentence, Swamiji said: 'I am proud to belong to a RELIGION which has sheltered and is still fostering the remnants of the grand Zoroastrian nation'. In these three consecutive sentences, Swami Vivekananda proclaimed his pride of belonging first 'to a religion', then second 'to a nation' and third again 'to a religion'.

Swami Vivekananda
(1863-1902)
It will be clear that Swami Vivekananda used the words 'Religion' and 'Nation' as synonymous terms. No pseudo-secularist in India today can have any doubt about what religion or nation SWAMIJI was talking about and what his perception of nationhood was. Swami Vivekananda was emphatically clear that the essential feature of Hindu Nationhood was the Hindu religion, the 'Sanatana Dharma'. He was only declaring 'We Hindus are a Nation'.

The cardinal fact that 'We Hindus are a Nation' unto ourselves and not just a religious community formed the crucial plank of our first national movement in 1905, viz. the 'Swadeshi Movement' in undivided Bengal. When Bengal was partitioned by Lord Curzon in 1905, the entire society rose up as one MAN with solid determination at a moment of great and unprecedented national upsurge. No one at that time had the slightest doubt that 'We Hindus are a Nation'. That is why in Calcutta city, on the first day of the agitation 50,000 people took a collective oath before Goddess Kali in the Holy Kalighat Temple to the effect that 'we shall throw the British out of our homeland'. The famous historian R.C. Majumdar rightly concluded that he saw no difference in those days between Sanatana Dharma and Indian Nationalism.

When Lord Minto conspired and plotted against the Hindu freedom fighters of Bengal in 1906, he roped in the Muslims under Agah Khan to create the Muslim League in order to divide the country. The era of Muslim appeasement started by Lord Minto, reached its climax in 1920 when Mahatma Gandhi became the Chairman of the Kilafat Movement for the restoration of the Turkish Monarchy and Empire. Thereafter, at every stage in our struggle for freedom, Muslims were appeased by Congress Leaders and Mahatma Gandhi for the next 25 years. The sad fact is that despite this deferential attitude towards the Muslims, the Congress and Mahatma Gandhi miserably failed to convince Mohammed Ali Jinnah about the need for the continued existence of a United India even after the British withdrawal from India. It has to be sadly borne in mind that after 1933, Jinnah was continuously proclaiming 'We Muslims are a Nation' till the birth of Pakistan on 14 August, 1947.

After Indian independence, Jawaharlal Nehru promoted his concept of false nationhood under the label of 'secularism'. According to this concept, all the people who happen to reside on the soil of India form a Nation, whether he follows the culture of this country or not, whether he is loyal to this country or not. It does not matter if the state-aided minorities dismiss the time-honoured culture of this country 'Sanatana Dharma' as abominable and as a path of the Devil. Thus in a mischievous way Nehru turned the concept of 'Nationhood' into a geographic entity and bade good-bye to the established principles of 'Nationhood' founded on emotional and cultural unity and all that it implies. According to this Nehru's notion, Hindus of India in majority have to lose the inheritance of their traditional homeland. Nehru used his transitory political might to propagate this philosophy and this became the corner stone of all his policies and proved disastrous for the Hindus. Tragically for the Hindu Nation, Jawaharlal Nehru shamelessly declared: 'To talk of Hindu culture would injure India's interests. By education I am an Englishman, by views an internationalist, by culture a Muslim, and I am a Hindu only by accident of birth. The ideology of Hindu Dharma is completely out of tune with the present times and if it took root in India, it would smash the country to pieces'. Nehru dismissed the Hindus of India as a mere religious community without any cultural traditions going back to the dawn of history. Thus Nehru had total contempt for Hindu religion, for Hindu culture, for Hindu society and above all for the average Hindu.

This alternate concept of perverted 'Nehruvian Nationhood' as opposed to 'Sanatana Dharma', meant State-engineered opposition to the Hindus in all walks of life. ANTAGONISM TO HINDUS EMERGED AS THE CORNER STONE OF STATE POLICY. The ideology of Nehruism came to be lauded, acclaimed, promoted and propagated under the name 'Secularism' till it came to be treated beyond reproach, beyond debate and beyond discussion. In short, all the Hindus of India became second class citizens depending upon the sufferanceeven patronageof the minority. Dressed in brief mortal authority, Nehru's purblind audacity reached its climax when he wrote to Kailash Nath Katju in 1953: 'In practice the individual Hindu is more intolerant and more narrow-minded than almost any person in any other country'.

Thus we have before us two alternate perceptions of our 'Nation' and 'Nationhood'; one of Swami Vivekananda and the other of Jawaharlal Nehru. Swami Vivekananda represented the time-defying sources and forces of truth; Jawaharlal Nehru represented the sources and forces of falsehood, fraud and ignorance based upon communal votebank politics. Swami Vivekananda says that Hindu Dharma is the quintessence of our national life, hold fast to it if you want your country to survive, or else you would be wiped out in three generations. Jawaharlal Nehru, a mere 50 years later, tells us that if the Hindu Dharma thrives, the country will smash to pieces. To quote the telling words of Abhas Chatterjee: 'Swami Vivekananda says that Hindu culture is the life-current of our nation, Jawaharlal Nehru says it would injure the nation even to talk of Hindu culture. One was supremely proud of being a Hindu, the other so ashamed of it that he rejected it as an accident of birth'.

The greatest tragedy in our national life after 1947, much more disastrous than the invasion of India by Muslim Marauders like Timur in 1398, Babar in 1526, Nadir Shah in 1739 and Ahmed Shah Abdali in 1761, has been the invasion of Nehruvian Secularism which started on August 15, 1947 and is still continuing unabated and unchallenged, clothed in the aura of official authority of the Government of India, now institutionalized into a hereditary Nehru family heirloom in perpetuity.

Nehru's viciously political concept of a geographical or composite nation, Nehruism or secularism, whichever way you call it, was nothing but a pernicious anti-Hindu ideology, which came to be lauded, acclaimed, promoted and propagated by most political parties after 1950 and the mafia of mass media in India and abroad, under the name of 'Secularism' till it came to be treated as something beyond any reproach, beyond any public debate and discussion. Nehru and his family used the might of their public offices for three generations to implant this poisonous weed of 'Secularism' in the national psyche. This has led to some disastrous socio-political consequences for the very survival of Hindus, Hindu Culture, Hindu Society, Hindu Religion and above all Sanatana Dharma.

To sum up, after our independence, we were taught to look at the history of Bharatvarsha from a new angle of State-sponsored distorted vision. We were asked to regard Indian history as one of pseudo-secular synthesis. To quote Abhas Chatterjee once again:

'We were asked to overlook the barbaric tyranny that was perpetrated on us in order to force Islam down our throats from 1025 AD till 1707 AD. The horrible persecution, the blunder, the vandalism, and the massacres should all be forgotten. Or we should assume these acts of Islamic compassion to have been the personal aberrations of a few Rulers. In order to project the history of India as a history of synthesis, an imaginary course of events was constructed, viz. that from olden days foreigners kept on coming to India and settling down by and by, so that they kept getting mingled with one another and a new 'Nation' was formed, a new 'Culture' was thus created. So, we don't really have a 'National Culture' of our own but only a 'Hybrid Composite Culture' politically manufactured by the Government.'
